(Iced) Cascara Latte

If you're going to have tea-based lattes, then please include cascara!

The dried cherries of the coffee tree, in their traditional brown form, combine aromatic notes of black tea and dried fruits such as apricot and raisin.

Whether served hot or cold with the frothed milk of your choice, this results in a cheeky and varied version of the English classic "black tea with milk".

Recipe:

  • Brew a fresh cascara infusion, for example with the coffee cherries from Henrique Sloper in our shop (see below), and let it cool briefly if necessary.

  • Take a coffee glass with some ice cubes (for the cold version)

  • Fill the glass about 2/3 full with the cascara infusion.

  • Froth your favorite milk, either cold or hot.

  • Add the milk foam to the cascara infusion and you have your latte.
