A guide to our expanded specialty line, from agroforestry filter brews to robust espresso blends.
At Foodflows, we believe that every bean tells a story—a story of the land, the farmer, and the careful hands that craft the final product. Our journey from offering a single coffee to a diverse specialty coffee line-up reflects our commitment to quality, transparency, and showcasing the unique "terroir" of Brazil's finest farms.

🌈 Expansion: From One Origin to a Full Spectrum
Our initial success with the first Arabica coffee from Jorge Naimeg paved the way for a significant expansion. By March 2024, our offering had grown dramatically: we expanded from one producer and one coffee to three dedicated producers (Jorge, Lucas, and Henrique) and an initial line of nine different coffees, including a house blend and several single-origin coffee specialty lots.

This expansion wasn't just about volume; it was about curating a palette of tastes. We partnered with multiple expert roasters, including Kaffeemanufaktur Zürich and Sima Kaffee in Trimmis, in the last two years to ensure that each unique green coffee was roasted perfectly to unlock its full potential, whether for a lighter filter brew or a rich espresso.
☕️ Unlocking Terroir: Meet Our Specialty Coffees
Our expanded permanent line features a range of flavor profiles, each meticulously sorted and roasted. The single-origin coffees, packaged in 500g bags, truly represent their respective terroir. For example, the 'Paraíso' from Jorge Naimeg retains its familiar floral and nutty aromas, making it perfect for a classic espresso or a cold brew in the summer.

⚔️ The Final Step: Crafting the Perfect Brew
The right roast profile and packaging are crucial. We determined the final roast degrees after careful testing to maximize the flavor nuances of each bean.
For instance, the 'Florestal', our first coffee from Henrique Sloper’s agroforest system, receives a medium-light roast specifically designed to accentuate its delicate, citric character when brewed in a filter or French press.

Conversely, the potent 'Poderoso' (a high-caffeine Canephora) from Lucas Venturim is ideally suited as an espresso base for milk drinks.

Our partnerships with top roasters, such as the one with Sima Kaffee that enables larger, high-quality batches, ensure that this artisanal quality is scalable.
By providing this detail on origin, roast, and preparation, we empower you to fully appreciate the 'Art of the Roast' and the distinct fingerprint of Brazilian specialty coffee in your cup.
